Multipart finals are available when an event is configured to use the "ABC Finals" mode.
Checkboxes appear in the right hand "MP" column of the event session list as shown in the screenshot below.
NOTE: Multipart finals are only applicable to A and B finals, consequently clicking any other checkbox in the event session list will pop up an alert box telling you this.
Once finals are generated (after Qualifying is complete), the Grid Listing structure will display multipart finals, as shown below.
'B Finals' are automatically created with 2 parts, 'A Finals' are created with 3 parts. The length of these 'part' races is configured in the event session list, via the Race Setup page (2nd menu from the top).
Reordering Multipart Final Entrants
Reordering can be performed using the same drag and drop operations for all other race heats. However if you need to move remove an entrant, or move them to another final, then you will first need to remove the entrant from their current final. This is performed by right clicking on the required entrant and choosing the 'Remove Final Entry' menu item as shown in the screenshot below.
Removing an entrant from a multipart final will remove them from all final parts. i.e They will be removed from 2 parts for B finals, and 3 parts for A finals.
Then you can either drag and drop the entrant (from the entries list) to the desired final, or you can right click on the final name and choose the 'Add Extra Entry' menu item, as shown below.
This will open a form where you can select the entrant you previously removed, as shown below.
Once the entrant has been added to a multipart final, the system will automatically enter them into each final part. i.e They will be entered in 2 parts for B finals, and 3 parts for A finals.
Multipart Race Schedule
By default, multipart finals are scheduled to race consecutively, but naturally this order can be adjusted as required. The race schedule can be reordered (by dragging and dropping the races) via the Daily Schedule tab on the Race Setup page, as shown below.
Reseeding
After each final part is completed, the system provides the option to reseed any remaining final parts based upon the order the entrants finished the race before.
Note: This is OPTIONAL and clicking NO in the reseed alert box will leave the multipart final grids unchanged.
Overall position scoring
After all final parts are completed, the overall final results are calculated based upon the IFMAR points system, regardless of what 'Qualifying Mode' is chosen on the Race Setup page. This scoring system determines a racer's final position by calculating accumulated points scored over a specific number of final parts.
NOTE: Only the multipart finals (A final and B final) are calculated using IFMAR points. All other ABC finals will be scored based upon laps / times.
Race Reporting
Report printouts are available after each final part is complete and various reports are available via the Race Results page (6th menu from the top).
Print Race Report - will present the chosen final part race results, along with individual lap results for each driver.
Print Progress Report - will present the IFMAR point progression for each final part that has been completed. Each final part score is displayed per driver, in points order.
Print Final Standing - will present the overall final positions based upon the IFMAR points calculation.
